About:

Philipp Grimmel is a Research Associate at Technische Universität Braunschweig, working at the Chair of Sustainable Manufacturing and Life Cycle Engineering. His research focuses on sustainable manufacturing, with a particular interest in designing circular material flows and using digital tools to improve resource efficiency.
He investigates how circular economy can be fostered through industrial symbiosis and emerging technologies such as knowledge graphs and large language models, bridging the gap between research and industrial application.
Currently, Philipp is a visiting researcher at the A*STAR Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology, where he contributes to publicly funded projects and industry collaborations in the fields of material efficiency and digital manufacturing.
