About:

Mr. Schmid, having a graduate engineering degree in Mechatronics from Esslingen University, Germany, with post graduate studies in Singapore, Thailand, and Asia during the past twenty-five years, is currently holding the position of the VP of Asia Pacific for the company of Festo Didactic, being the educational arm of Festo. During the past two decades, Mr. Schmid has been developing the educational market for Festo Didactic in Asia, Middle East, and some parts of Africa, supported by various publications in the fields of curricula, holistic approaches of excellence centres and others. Meanwhile Mr. Schmid is also part of the management team of the Competence Centre for Digitalisation, Technologies and Innovation, www.cdti.com.sg, which was jointly set-up by TUM Asia and Festo Didactic in Singapore, addressing the current needs of industry within the context of digitalisation, smart manufacturing and related topics such as energy efficiency, cyber security and many more.
